Miss Universe

So I am at another week-long training, this time at the Wilshire Grand Hotel. There are always some other events happening at these big hotels, and this place is no exception. The Miss Universe pageant is using the hotel as its base of operations. There are tall, long-legged, beautiful women EVERYWHERE! Security has been really tight, and as common teachers, we are not supposed to bug the contestants. I did however, get a chance to meet and talk to Miss Russia, Anna Litvinova on Monday. She was so very sweet and nice, and very intelligent, which seems unfair. She really has it all: beauty and brains. I saw her again yesterday, and she waved at me and made sure to say hello. What a very nice young lady. Check out her link, because she is HOT!!!! I met her when she was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, but damnit if she doesn't clean up really well =). There are two more days here at the hotel and who knows what will happen. I have seen so MANY of these beautiful girls, that if I was not very secure with myself, I would be feeling very inadequate.

Sundays are just not Saturdays

When I was a kid, I had to get up and go to church every Sunday. Being a Preacher's Kid made this a requirement. And there was NEVER anything on the tube on Sundays, EXCEPT this crazy show called Bob McAllister's Wonderama. It was the forerunner of so many Nick shows from the 90's. The games, the cartoons, the dance segment. Made me wish that I could on that show. I rarely got to see the whole thing, unless I was sick.
